DESCRIPTION:Future: Dr. Ayala Hendin will help inspire and strengthen our collective hope for the United States and for Israel.\n\nThe Declaration of Independence of the State of Israel was proclaimed on May 14, 1948 by David Ben-Gurion. Using the Israeli Declaration of Independence as a guide, we will explore the hope, successes, and challenges facing Israel to implement the document, which states:\n“The State of Israel will foster the development of the country for the benefit of all its inhabitants; it will be based on freedom, justice and peace… it will ensure complete equality of social and political rights to all its inhabitants irrespective of religion, race or sex.”\nThis three-part series will be taught by Dr. Ayala Hendin, Israel Fellow at Washington University, and special guest Dr. Mona Khoury, the first Arab Vice President of Diversity and Strategy at Hebrew University.\nClick Here to RSVP\n
