Shaare Emeth Religious School’s 11th-12th Grade Program
Post-Confirmation: The PostCon Fellowship
Our goal in everything we do is to cultivate meaningful relationships with our learners and their families. We want Shaare Emeth to feel like their second Jewish home, a place where they can be themselves and have important conversations to ground them as they grow. That is why we love it when our 11th and 12th Graders choose to continue their Jewish journey by participating in our learning program for 11th and 12th Grade teens: the PostCon Fellowship! Each year we build a cohort of Jewish learners who create community, and who learn how to connect classical Jewish texts to their own life experiences, ideas and questions.
Here’s what you need to know:
- The PostCon Fellowship at Shaare Emeth is our gift to our oldest teens, no tuition required. We only ask that each teen fill out this application each year so we can create a group list to stay in touch and track attendance. Â
- We know that junior and senior year of high school can be intense, and we appreciate the commitment you make to spending time with us at temple. Thatâs why we meet 2x a month on Mondays from 5:45-7:00pm. Dinner is always included too! If that isnât enough to convince you, you also get a prize! Seriously, each participant who attends regularly and makes the commitment to PostCon will receive a stipend of $250 per school year to use for future studies, travel, or other Jewish programming. Â
- The program is led by Rabbi Bennett and Helena Cooper who help plan each session and facilitate the group experience. They will also be the ones reaching out to our teens and sharing updates as the year progresses!
