The Voting Rights Committee at Congregation Shaare Emeth wants to help you prepare to vote and make informed decisions. Additionally, we aim to keep you updated on issues that you can advocate for, based on our Reform Jewish beliefs.

The August 4 election is fast approaching, and your vote is important. The ballot contains several amendments that will have a major and long-lasting impact on our state. The Shaare Emeth Voting Rights Committee is here to help you make a plan with weekly steps and reminders to make sure your voice is counted.
This Week’s Tasks:
- Register to vote! The deadline to register for the August 4 Primary Election is July 8 at 5 p.m.
- Check to make sure your voter registration is current! Verify that you are registered with the correct name and address.
- If you missed the program on Tuesday, June 23, about the proposed amendments on the August 4th ballot, please click here to watch the recording.
- Bonus task: Check in with family and friends to make sure they have checked their voter registration.
Need Your Ballot Notorized?
Shaare Emeth volunteer notaries are available to notarize your absentee ballot. While notaries are not available at the Temple, they have designated on-call times and will arrange a convenient meeting location.

- July 6 from 2–4 p.m.
- July 8 from 9–11 a.m.
- July 9 from 5–7 p.m.
- July 13 from 2–4 p.m.
- July 15 from 9–11 a.m.
- July 16 from 5–7 p.m.
- July 20 from 2–4 p.m.
- July 22 from 9–11 a.m.
- July 23 from 5–7 p.m.
- July 27 from 2–4 p.m.
- July 29 from 9–11 a.m.
